Visited twice now. Great location for access to city and marina although lacks car park. Clean rooms with plenty of space, tea/coffee facilities, bathroom. Helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet. Room keys are a pain though as mobile phone signals seem to clear the card's memory and they need resetting when you get in from an evening out.
A pleasant hotel at a reasonable rate. Stayed here for one night with work. The rooms were comfortable however I could not turn the air conditioning off. The breakfast was excellent. One of the best I’ve had recently.

Seems unlikely but the restaurant here is a hidden gem - in the evenings when they have the sea facing side open - the view over Plymouth Sound is absolutely stunning. Food is adequate and reasonably priced but the view is the real pull here. If you thought the view from the Hoe couldn't get any better, you need to see it from up here.
Very nice hotel, room spacious and modern, air conditioning. Visited in very hot weather and the hotel was very cool throughout, very welcome. Breakfast excellent, well appointed restaurant on top floor, stunning views. Good value stay, easy parking underground. Staff very helpful and courteous.

Attention to detail here was a bit lacking. Tea spoons or wrong spoons laid out at breakfast times. Brasso left unpolished in lift as were hand prints on inside of lift door. Tiny "blood" stain on bed sheet. I could go on a bit which is a little unfair as generally not bad. Though £7.50 per day to park your car as a paying guest is naughty too. Reception not ask if we had enjoyed our stay either. Come on guys brush up a bit. The right ideas but as I say attention to detail!!!. No swimming pool any more. Keep trying sure it'll get better. Food nice and polite staff in restaurant and bar areas.
Good location for town centre. Room- adequate, clean, good facilities. Restaurant- nice meal, good service. Breakfast- very poor, cold food, slow service apart from one lady who tried her best to put things right. Would stay again but miss out breakfast.

Really nice pub lovely staff and a fantastic pint. Lovely seating area on the water. I will definitely visit again if I'm in the area again.
Been here on two occasions for a drink. The first time there was a massive queue at the bar and on a sunny weekend day they were clearly understaffed. I didn't bother to queue and left. The second time, in similar conditions, service was a lot quicker. The pint I ordered was served well and the atmosphere was pleasant. Prices were average.

Friendly and super cosy. They even have blankets
Stopped for a quick pint, didn't stay for a second. Not much character

I am so glad that we found this pub. My husband and I were looking for a place to have good pub food on our vacation and this place was amazing. We were greeted when we entered and they even managed to find us a seat even though they were booked. Our waitress was fantastic. She helped us pick out drinks giving great advice on local beverages. The seating was comfortable and quaint. The food was divinely delicious. There was no skimping and portion size here. There were so many options to choose from on the menu it was almost hard to make a decision. Not to mention the nightly specials. Even after all the food we ate we still managed to find room for one of their dessert. It was the perfect way to cap off an evening. If we come back to Plymouth again we're definitely going back to the Fishermans Arms.
Absolute hidden gem... fantastic, plentiful, reasonably priced food. Excellent selection of beers, wine and spirits. Combine this with friendly and efficient staff and the overall result is very good indeed. Highly recommended.

I recently stayed in flat 1A with my daughter for a weeks holiday. Great location and only a short walk from the town centre and the stunning views from the hoe waterfront. The facilities were great, with car parking out the back of the property making it ideal for us to get out and about. Would stay again as would be a great place for a summer break.
stayed with my wife in new year, flat was clean and tidy, great location for visiting Plymouth. Owner was very accomodating, have booked back in for 2 week stay in summer, highly recommended.

I've had a great experience with this company. They are very helpful and provided me with a really good deal. Over the phone I was offered information on the area and details about what cottage was suitable for what I was looking for. I would book with them again. Found it a lot easier than booking with a larger firm.
I've been booking cottages through Southwest Holiday Cottages for years going back to when they just had brochures. I've always found the cottage descriptions accurate and I've been generally well pleased. They've been helpful whenever i've phoned them!

Very impressed with the service and attitude of the staff. I arrived after 11pm and they stayed up to let me in. You are given a key for the front door also which is very helpful. Definitely recommend

Family run b&b where you feel welcomed into the family. Very clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Love going back as you are remembered when you do.
Best B&B we have been in for years, very friendly family run place. Clean rooms and wonderful breakfasts. Would recommend this b&b to everyone.
Phantele Guest House, 176 Devonport Rd, Plymouth PL1 5RD, UK – 01752 561506
The hosts were very welcoming, the room amazing and the breakfast to die for. The bathrooms were up to date and spotless. I can't recommend it enough.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
