Looking for unusual artefacts, chimney pieces or just a curiosity; Robi Miller is your man. Owner of the chambers and and quite a character. I’m glad to have met him.
Nice little place with amazing stuff in
140 Union St, Plymouth PL1 3HL, UK – 01752 665763
There is some lovely furniture in this place and at a fair price. We love to browse and pop in now and then to see if anything takes our fancy. Roland, the owner, has a good eye for quality. I have to admit it also feels good buying from a local business and it is giving our home a unique feel by not filling it with new, show room furniture from a chain.

Thursday was my first time coming to GG's salon and i was made to feel so welcome from when I first walked in, all the girls were so friendly and the place had such a nice environment. I had my hair coloured by Lauren and a weave fitted by Gem who are both brill! Thanks so much for my new hair I love it! x
I have nothing but praise for Gem, the team and the salon. I had come to Plymouth on a day trip from my rural home town over 100 miles away to find a wig. I had not realised how involved buying a wig would actually be and had no idea I would need an appointment to see someone, The store I had traveled to did not have any wigs and the sales lady could see i was very upset. She recommended GG's and found me the number. .. After talking to Gem, she realised my disappointment and managed to slot me in and see me later that day , Gem was welcoming and friendly and gave me loads of informative advice about wigs. Very luckily , she had a real hair wig in stock which was a perfect fit , but the wrong colour, She then gave me colour samples and said it could be coloured and styled to what I wanted. I was over the moon. The following week I made the 200 mile round trip again to collect my wig. I am so pleased with it, It is perfect and has given me confidence again to go out in public.Hopefully this wig will last quite some time but I will definitely be going back when i need a new one. I cant thank you all enough. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wig.

Lovely relaxing having my hair washed in a massage chair. Lots of advice on various things to do with your hair. Did a lovely job on my nails for my Christmas party. Have not tried their other beauty items, but clean, inviting and friendly all round. Facebook page gets you invites to events that promote new products and treatments. Highly recommend to everyone.
Pleased with haircut. Salon looks amazing. Would definitely recommend it. Only thing is hard to find if you don't have sat nav.
57 Hyde Park Rd, Plymouth PL3 4JN, UK – 01752 257056
Couldn't rate this highly enough! Best place to get hair cut in Plymouth in my opinion!
I’m a complete snob and have outrageously high standards and this salon is perfect!! All the girls are so professional and attentive and I felt so comfortable. Huge credit to Cariad, the manager. She has a fab team behind her. So many thumbs up
65-69 New George St, Plymouth PL1 1RJ, UK – 01752 256699
Lovely friendly atmosphere, no rushing around an oasis of calm like all coffee cafes should be. Also family friendly with a play area for the little ones. Excellent.
Much more pleasant than the Drake's Circus branch. It's quiet, the staff are always helpful and the shop doesn't feel too cramped. The coffee shop is brilliant too, great coffee and cakes.
1 Charles St, Plymouth PL1 1EA, UK – 01752 669898
Fab place to nose at books. The staff are excellent and friendly. We recently went to Elmer day with my toddler and it was very well planned. It also has a Costa coffee as well
Beautiful store with a fantastic selection. I was particularly impressed with the selection I'd graphic novels and manga. Also sticker a decent selection if board games. More expensive than buying online, but what do you expect?

First of all I would like to say a big thank you to Andy and his team for recommending and fitting a new audio system into my old VW van, at last bringing it up to date. The sound is fantastic, the installation very good and communication was friendly and polite making this an enjoyable experience throughout. Secondly, I would like to say the above was completed to an agreed yet tight timescale and, although it went to the wire due to a delay in logistics I believe, PCS stuck to their word and completed the work on time. Thirdly, having read previous reviews prior to visiting PCS, I was a little unsure as I felt the business response to poor reviews, whilst providing their point of view, had a slightly combative undertone! However, soon after meeting Andy whose easy manor, gentle advice and no pressure approach to business, any fears I may have had, evaporated. The adage ' you can not please everybody all of the time' springs to mind: All you can do is your best in these circumstances and try and be courteous, at all times. To that end, I can honestly say based on my experience, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company who I am sure, will leave you feeling as happy as I am...! Thank you again. David
I had a problem with my car audio, and needed an urgent fix. All the staff I spoke to were lovely, the price excellent, and the quality of the work brilliant. They kept me updated with progress reports and even replaced a broken sidelight. When I collected the car Darren was keen to stay on after the place had closed to make sure I understood how it all worked, and clearly enjoys his work. I have no hesitation in recommending this place, and know I'll be back - many thanks to you all.

Paul sorted out a long standing issue that others couldn't find. Highly recommended
Paul has looked after my cars for a few years now and has always been very courteous and caring. Paul has always provided honest and straightforward work and advice regarding my car and has diagnosed difficult problems and rectified them without fuss and excessive cost. I would recommend Paul and his work to anyone.
87-89 Exeter St, Plymouth PL4 0AH, UK – 0333 900 0047
Nicely geeky. That's not an insult. In fact, it's just the opposite. These guys know their stuff but don't bore you with the fact. They answer questions and offer advice at the appropriate level for the customer. You can listen to music but if you take the advice (and spend a bit of money) from Richer Sounds, you will HEAR music and that's an experience. Join their free VIP Membership to get future discounts and be prepared to haggle a little bit. I've always got a better deal than ticket price, even if it's just free cables (which can be pricey).
Our experience of Richer Sounds was a really positive experience. The products are of exceptional quality and the staff are knowledgeable with a friendly, helpful and efficient manner. They will happily give you advice on all their products, and offer you a price match (mostly though, they easily rival other companies on pricing capability). We particularly found 'Dave' (staff at Richer Sounds) to be incredibly in-the-know, apropos to everything in the shop, he easily and expertly answered all questions put to him. The equipment they stock is of the highest quality and spec, with a competitive pricing system in place. The shop is easy to navigate, with a sound room to the left hand side. This has a great set up, giving the buyer a great deal of ideas on how to build their own sound system/surround at home/events etc. They cater for all range of budgets too, from exiguous to £££'s! Well recommended and well worth a look.

Had a brilliant experience so far. Sales person was Ian and he has been our point of contact. Nothing was enough trouble. Needed a couple things done on the car and called Ian who booked the car straight in. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. Will definitely go back to them for our second car when we need it. Thanks guys
I called in yesterdsy to test drive a Vauxhall Astra to compare with a Ford Focus. I was dealt with by your salesman Mark, who went out of his way to find the keys for an Astra that was waiting to be prepared. We went out for a test drive, which then helped me make my mind up about which car I wanted to purchase. Have now gone for the Focus at another dealership. Mark was helpful and not at pushy. Would recommend.

Tom at crown cars was extremely pleasant and went well out of his way to help me after writing my previous car of 3 days off in an accident, Tom had the car I wanted, from the finance application all the way through to collection Tom kept in touch to see how I was getting on with sorting out the previous finance and was very patient whilst i sorted this. Collected my car from Tom with a thorough handover Of the car, finance and warranty that came with the car, my other half had purchased a car from Tom previously and we recommend Tom to anyone looking for a quality car in Plymouth as all his cars are of top quality! After sales are awesome. Thank you!
I had been looking for a car for quite sometime & always thought getting one on finance would be a utter pain , but came across crown cars , and I went down to be nosey , where I was met by the owner very polite & helpful and welcoming & i also felt relaxed about the whole idea of finance, he was very professional . And helped me find a car that was suitable for my needs , I am really happy I now have my car I have had no problems everything has and is going just right and I couldn't be more thankful . And certainly recommend to anyone who is wanting a finance car /deal to visit crown cars you will not be disappointed .

Looking for a premium crash helmet recently I found the staff at J and S to be friendly and helpful. I was disappointed to find they have limited stock of helmet sizes. I naively thought everything on display would be in stock and in various sizes - not so. However, I would not hesitate to go back again for more motorcycle gear as I found they gave me good service.
Great selection of bike gear. Helpful friendly staff. Well worth a visit
7 Miller Court, Millbay Road, Plymouth PL1 3LQ, UK – 01752 266990
I took by bike to this man because of his 5 star reviews here on google and I know why he deserves them. A genuine and knowledgeable person who had my bike back up and running in no time at all at a good price Massive thumbs up! I won’t be going anywhere else in future Thanks Phil for all your help
I went to Cook Motorcycles in Plymouth from Cornwall purely because he was selling my dream bike at a reasonable price... I'm SO glad it wasn't available anywhere else. 3 hours after turning up and dropping on him that I wanted to take the bike away the same day, I left with a freshly serviced and MOTd bike... and my new forever-mechanic. Phil is fast, fair and efficient and he wouldn't let me leave with the bike until he had checked every little thing to ensure that the bike was good to go. On top of it all, his customer service is above and beyond anything I've ever experienced with mechanics; I now won't go anywhere else. If you love your bike and are within a couple hours drive of his workshop, take your bike to Phil- you can rest assured that he cares about your baby ALMOST as much as you do :-D

Just bought our son a new double faux leather bed frame and memory foam mattress. Really helpful friendly staff served me.Only down side was told a cover would come with the mattress, but this didn't happen. Paid to have it delivered I'm glad the delivery guys phoned me before as they were outside the wrong house as wrong number was written down on their copy of the delivery slip . Would highly recommend this store and would definitely be going back to purchase again in the near future.
Really pleased. This review is about 1) a pick up for donated goods and 2) the shop. 1) I had arranged for pickup of furniture to donate. Because I work full-time they agreed to ring me 30 minutes before arrival (to give me time to drive home for their visit). Sure enough they did ring, the drivers are independent self employed, I found the guy was really professional and friendly, quick and took it all. 2) I've visited the shop by the toys r us shop, it's always full of good quality furniture, so much choice. I have been visiting for months cos I'm still looking for my ideal sofa. The staff are really friendly and polite, very helpful when I have questions. They are honest in that, they make you aware stuff goes quickly (which it does, so don't hesitate if you like something) and they can't store your items for long cos it's so popular. Downside is car park for toys r us customers, but I chance it. Haven't got a ticket yet!
20 Bishops Place, West Hoe Road, Plymouth PL1 3BW, UK – 01752 257267
I've been going to this pharmacy since the beginning of the year and they never, ever fail to be polite, helpful, and NICE. When you deal with a long-term illness it's easy for people to lose sight of the person you are and the troubles that you have, but every single person at the pharmacy has always treated me with the utmost respect. They've been incredibly helpful, helping me find ways to cope with the financial burden of being ill long-term, and they're just all around brilliant people. I couldn't recommend another pharmacy more.
David Stolton & his staff always go the extra mile to help me & my husband. They make it a true community pharmacy & are valued highly by all of us in the neighbourhood.

Went in to the Plymouth store today and I was packed. My Grandkids were fed up but a lovely lady called Sarah helped me out with everything I needed. She was amazing and said she hadn't worked there long but she knew where everything was and she was very informative. Thank you Sarah Jones!
Fair sized shop with in drake cruise. Easy to find what you want. Lovely friendly staff. Bit pricey on some stuff but that's nomal of mothercare. Has baby, children and mertunaty. I find most shops of same size don't usely have the mertunaty.
11 Cornwall St, Plymouth PL1 1NL, UK – 01752 671206
Lovely little ship, lots of different toys. Quite good on price, mostly cheaper then toys are us but bit more then other places. Clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
I used to love coming in here as a kid back in the 90s. Now as an adult with no kids, buying for other peoples kids, it can be a little daunting looking at so many toys. Staff are super friendly and very helpfull. The shop seems to be set out in ages which really helps when you dont know what your looking for. They still stock the smal plastic animals i had as a kid so they may get played with every time i go in..... totally not almost 30 ;)

After having an unfortunate incident with a coffee and my laptop whilst in a meeting in Plymouth I was desperate to find someone who could look at my laptop immediately. Tec Team were superb! Went in for a lead and they helped us with our laptop too. Service was second to none and they went the extra mile. Please help keep our small independent companies going by purchasing from them and supporting them
Good place to buy new tech, I bought a new mechanical Cougar key board, Razor Naga mouse that came with a free Razor Mouse mat and a Razer Kraken head set. All of it works fine, my only issue is I paid a little over the market price but however it came with a warranty and guaranty. Would recommend coming here for the tech but be ready to pay a little extra.

Cannot recommend Paul enough - he did a fantastic job for us repairing two PCs with different problems (one very tricky to solve, but Paul kept at it) in the same fortnight. Absolutely brilliant.
Excellent service, always reliable, prompt and courteous. Paul is very experienced and gives you good advice.
1 Charles St, Plymouth PL1 1EA, UK – 01752 633000
Excellent service. Though our faulty iPhone was beyond repair, the Apple assistant tried his best to fix it. He offered us a very good deal on a replacement, and even though we did not purchase that day, he made sure all the photos on the phone were recoverable by signing into a new iPhone. Nothing was too much trouble. Much impressed.
Absolutely amazing customer service!! Went in there today as my son has disabled his iPhone. We was seen within five minutes and the staff couldn’t be anymore helpful.. I would highly recommend.

City College Plymouth is a great college with excellent tutors especially in the Catering industry and would recommend catering to all who wish to study catering as its a great opportunity to study right through experience into an apprenticeship for a future career. The chef lectures are really helpful and understanding when needed with excellent courses and experience. I'm thankful for them for letting me to go straight onto an apprenticeship after level one course and the experience at the college. With the maths they need to get much experience staff for functional skills and GCSE I thank them for the grades and support as well as catering staff.
Great tutors. Learnt so much on my Foundation Degree course. Highly recommended.

It has been a weight off our shoulders having South West Data Networks handling our office software and computer requirements. Nothing is too much trouble for Andy Maskell and he is always available to give advice or sort out any problems which may arise. Andy brings an orderly calm during any computer failure storm, it is so reassuring to know he is there. We highly recommend and thank South West Data Networks: Ken and Brenda Gilbert

Well worth a browse! Many quirky items not available elsewhere. Good place to find gifts which are that little bit different. Reasonable prices.
Full of quirky and useful (or useless?) novelty items, gadgets and gizmos! Great place to go to buy a gift. They also have a good selection of herbs and spices for cooking, as well as household utensils and decorations. I always enjoy looking inside Tiger.

Great store selling art and craft materials at OK prices. There are a huge range of products for a wide range of activities. I go specifically for art materials of which they have a huge range. They also sell a range of their own materials at very reasonable prices. They have some good special offers from time to time. It's worth joining their points scheme as you get a discount off your first purchase and a £5 voucher on your birthday!
Always my favourite shop for all my crafts!! Seasonal aisle always very relevant and attractive, and staff always happy to help and advice!!! Children free crafts classes every so often as well and numerous ones for adults in various domain...

Thought I'd finally leave a review after countless visits! Won't take my bikes anywhere else. Prices to rival the online stores, customer service unrivalled by anyone. Excellent range of gear in stock and will order in anything you need if they don't have it. I've also had plenty of help and advice (not to mention great conversation) without getting my wallet out on occasion. Highly recommended, whether you're a complete novice or a full on bike nut.
Definitely worth travelling a little bit further for a shop this professional, well stocked and honest
1, New Victoria House, Weston Park Rd, Plymouth PL3 4NU, UK – 01752 603526
Great customer service. My bike is my main mode of transport so I put it in for a gold service. On dropping my bike off he had a quick look over it and straight away noticed a few parts that were in need of replacing. On picking my bike up he explained everything that had been fixed and replaced on my bike. Also explained what his philosophy was on bike maintenance and what his shop is based upon. It's nice to hear they invest in the community and in the youth. Where they could rebuild and refurbish on existing parts to save money for myself. This is now the only shop I will be taking my bike too. Great couple of guys I meet who worked there and where good with my toddlers as well.

Wonderful family shop. An Alladin’s cave of DIY items and more. Family run (I think) - the staff are so helpful. I always try and visit this place instead of B&Q and Homebase. They are almost always able to help me out. Prices are great too!
Called for some trouser tape on off chance and guess what the store had it. Never ceases to amaze me.aways a nice experience. Brian bouche

Love this old traditional diy shop
Very friendly owner with a good range and value for the size of the shop.
45 Union Street, Plymouth, Devon PL1 3LU, UK – 01752 663914
The guys in here are really friendly and are happy to help you with all your DIY needs!
This is only a tiny shop. If you are looking for a shop selling everything, look elsewhere. The shop name is misleading, the shop actually sells hardware products. The staff in here are some of the nicest staff I've seen. They are extremely knowledgeable and offer really good advice. Although it is difficult competimg with the big corporate shops these guys do it well. They've done it based on good customer service. Meaning many return in the future. There is currently 15 minutes free parking outside. Recommended.

From the time I made my initial online enquiry for our new Dimplex Optimist electric fire to the final delivery, all the staff at Beacon Electrical were extremely helpful and understanding to our requirements. They actually listened and made helpful suggestions rather than simply trying to sell me the product and I would certainly return for further electrical items in the future. This is not just another electrical store. they really do try to put the customer first. When I had a question following delivery, I phoned the store and the person who answered the phone immediately understood my question and gave a very quick and helpful solution. You don't get that with big chain companies these days. All in all, highly recommended.
It's family run, great customer service and price matches appliances.

Direct Trade Supplies were most helpful and efficient on the phone when I ordered my light fitting. It was cheaper than other suppliers and arrived safely a few days later. I was kept informed of its expected time of delivery. Will use this firm again .Recommended
Great service from the direct Trades sales team, knowledgeable & helpful to novices like me. Best price in the market. Forget your tool stations & screwfix’s who’ve raised their prices. Direct Trade supplies highly recommend, nearly done most electrical light fittings from them.

Sharon is one of the nicest people you will meet. She is friendly, professional and has an incredible talent for flowers. We told her what kind of flowers we liked, and what our colour scheme was and she instinctively knew exactly what we wanted. The flowers were exactly what we had in mind and we couldn't have been happier. She made the whole wedding planning process an absolute breeze! Thank you again Sharon!

Unfortunately I had to order flowers for my father in law's funeral 😭 The ladies could not be more helpful when I called them up. I was 300 miles away at the time and only had the web site to guide me as to what I wanted. I managed to make some changes to the original design I had seen and add a few extras too. The ladies arranged for the flowers to be delivered to the funeral directors at no extra cost and even let me phone back when I had decided on the personal message. They were so lovely and made an unpleasant phone call I had to make a little more bearable. I didn't see the flowers until the actual funeral so was a little on edge but they were absolutely stunning and everyone commented on how beautiful they were. So thank you so much for making a beautiful goodbye tribute from my 4 year old daughter and 9 year old nephew to their beloved grandfather Neil. I couldn't have asked for better x
I love my wedding bouquet! The buttonhole flower for my husband was perfect! Thank you for accommodating a slight change of delivery address for us. You are amazing, thank you!

Ordered a delivery to the area from another country simply by finding the shop on Google maps. Delivery was prompt and photo sent to me by recipient showed a lovely plant was chosen and beautifully presented. Price was very reasonable too.
I needed a florist in Plymouth for a funeral I was attending at quite short notice. I live in Manchester. I needed an arrangement for my nephew and found just what I needed via the website. With a week to go I asked for a change to be made on the message card and this was picked up and sorted very quickly. Fantastic service at reasonable prices - look no further!

Excellent staff and lovely there is still a genuine apothecary with people who help effectively : )
Rickard Lanes has been serving health foods and supplements to Plymothians for decades, since 1865 to be precise. Almost everything healthy is stocked here. Rickard Lanes are famed for their own brand Sage and Garlic Catarrah Remedy. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. Rickard Lanes is far superior than the chain health stores. Looking for a healthy snack for lunch? There are shelves of choices. David

Far and away the best shop in Plymouth. Tropical fish were all looking in great condition, no signs of malnutrition, disease or debris in any of the aquariums. The fish themselves were reasonably priced and emperor stocked a wide variety of species and types. Cold water fish were equally well stocked, well cared for and we'll priced. The Marine section is one of the best I've seen in Plymouth, a wide range of species were available all in excellent condition and health. Near the front door is an aquatic plant tank that was very well displayed and stocked, as with their fish, these plants all looked in excellent condition. The staff were all extremely nice, offering us help and assistance. The store is perhaps not the easiest to navigate for disabled users, however it was clean and very well stocked. Honestly can't imagine why you want visit any other store. Great stuff.
Brilliant place to buy fish and they give fantastic advice as we got fish from a well known pet store and all of a sudden my fish started dying and we had a spike in ammonia. Emperor did a test to check all levels and gave brilliant advice, now my tank is on the mend. Thank you

First time there. Bought a set of garden table and chairs. Two particular members of staff were brilliant. Knowledgeable and very helpful. Assistance right out to the car, even though i could've done it myself. Highly recommended just for that alone. Other stores were less helpful.
Great store with lots to offer and great free parking found exactly what I needed no problem. Staff are friendly and helpfully. Then had a great baguette from the sandwich shop that backs on to the car park. Would recommend a visit if your hungry and at the range or just passing.
1 Charles St, Plymouth PL1 1EA, UK – 01752 603366
excellent store in plymouth, i have had a few problems with the bracelet with safety chains breaking etc but always the staff have been happy to help and exchanging them for brand new ones quickly and with no fuss...... 100% for service
Staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable. Over Christmas when it was busy, there was a queue outside the shop just to get inside. Luckily there were plenty of staff on hand providing advice to people in the queue. In my case, the lady I spoke to knew exactly what I wanted and went inside to ensure that it was in stock so that I didn't waste time queuing unnecessarily. Great customer service.

Love GoOutdoors Plymouth. The staff are always on hand to help and they're really knowledgeable in their own departments. It's great value for money and you can get a lot of really cool kit here. Sign up for newsletters and you'll get reminded of when they're having sales or additional discount weekends to save even more.
Fantastic friendly staff, quick service & sell almost everything you need from tents to fishing gear. Well worth getting the discount card, easily make your money back. They also do millitary discount on top of the discount card. Well worth a visit have a nice selection of coats, foot wear & clothes.

Very wide range of jackets for men... From cheaper to quite a bit costly (berghaus, northface). Even the lower end offers seemed of reasonable quality. We were left alone for a good 20 minutes to try things out at our leisure.
Great staff . price matched a backpack very helpful. If your looking to buy any camping hiking equipment etc don't bother any where else but here.
38/40 New George St, Plymouth PL1 1RW, UK – 01752 428481
Good shop for hiking and camping. Good variety of equipment. Quickly service with friendly and professional staff. They also do something price match so they will match the price if you can find it cheaper online.
Really engaging staff without being in your face. I didn't go in to make a purchase but found a couple of bits I couldn't be without. Really impressed with the service.

JD's Plymouth is quite small and have a unique selection of items for adults both men and women and children. There's junior and infants too! You can manoeuvre around the store but you can't turn around in the same isle, only up and down. Even though the selection is limited I can always order in store for next day collection. That's if you require that or home delivery whichever, is easier for you.
Very reasonable prices and very wide selection of items

Fantastic service from all the friendly staff will go above and beyond to give 110% to help customers find what they need
For its size, this is a very well stocked store with staff that I've found to be very helpful and knowledgeable. The pen selection is the best I've found and they stock some really high quality goods
Charles Cross, Charles Cross Roundabout, Plymouth PL4 0BG, UK – 01752 227229
The store has a great products that are off a very high quality, it is often hard to find specific products but the staff there are always willing to help and point you in the right direction.
Oh, I love it in here. But then I've got a thing for stationery. I quite often flick my way through reams of paper or pads of Post It Notes and inhale the scent as I do so. There's nothing quite like new stationery. This is why I'm quite often arrested in such establishments. The staff are quite understanding though.

Mobile phone companies can be a nightmare as most people are aware, I was a o2 customer for many years but since having nothing but trouble with the network signal going down all the time I decided to join EE and it's the best decision I've ever made! If ever I've got a problem and pop into their store they are always very helpful, friendly and resolve my problems! No matter where I go I've always got full signal strength. I highly recommend EE network to anyone :)

Our good quality lounge suite was showing signs of wear. We contacted Dave Nicholls and they came out to discuss the renovation and show us their excellent range of fabrics. They were very patient and helpfull whilst we made our decision. Ultimately they ordered the fabric of our choice especially for us. When the suite was returned we were delighted, it had been restored to 'as new' condition. We were impressed at the quality of the work and the good old fashion customer service, especially from Dawn in the showroom who never failed to answer our queries. Would certainly recommend this firm for the quality of its work.
Thanks for an excellent job on the six dinning room chairs you recently completed for us. We are extremely pleased with the results, they look fantastic, and are more comfortable to sit on now than when they were new! We will be sure to recommend you to friends and family. Many thanks. Kind regards Paul and Karen Thorn.
